A New Bible and Professor Grant Horner Bible Reading Plan

I’ve recently purchased a new Bible and learned a few things to keep in mind when searching for a new Bible. I’m also starting a new Bible reading plan. Watch the video to hear about my new Bible, pointers I give for when you are ready to buy a new Bible, and the new Bible reading plan I will be using.

When looking for a new Bible consider:

  1. A New Bible and The Professor Grant Horner Bible Reading PlanFont size
  2. Verse structure
  3. Study notes, cross-references, footnotes, etc?
  4. Single column or double?
  5. Do you want wide margins or area to write notes?
  6. Paper quality
  7. Bible size
  8. Translation version
  9. Page color
  10. Cover material (hard back, paper, imitation leather, genuine leather, natural leather, etc) (I forgot about this one but my sweet friend Kim Wine of Women’s Hope Project reminded me. Thanks Kim!)

Professor Grant Horner Bible Plan

Since our 2018 90-Day Chronological Bible reading plan will be completed as of April 1st, I have decided to start a new Bible reading plan. I will be using the Professor Horner Bible reading system.

The Professor Grant Horner Bible Reading Plan bookmarksThis system reads one chapter of the Bible in ten different sections of the Bible each day. It is a lot of Bible reading every day. One great thing about this plan is that it is a continuous plan. You don’t have a check list to keep up with so you don’t feel like you are getting behind when you don’t have time to read all the passages for that day.

I have created some free downloadable bookmarks to help keep up with the system. The bookmarks I have created come in a couple of different color styles and also whether you decided to use the traditional Horner plan or the edited version. See the video for more information about the difference between these two plans.

If you would like to download these bookmarks, use the form at the end of this post to sign up for my newsletter and I will send you a link to the download library.

I have also created a Facebook Group for accountability and fellowship for those going through this plan. You can join the group here after answering a couple of questions.
