Joni Eareckson Tada recounts her fifty years as a quadriplegic and how Christ has been with her through her suffering, God’s sovereignty, and how her suffering has helped her understand God’s promises better.
“It has everything to do with God and his grace—not just grace over the long haul, but grace in tiny moments, like breathing in and out, like stepping stones leading you from one experience to the next. The beauty of such grace is that it eclipses the suffering until one July morning, you look back and see five decades of God working in a mighty way.”
This is another article about Joni but she has much to teach us of finding God in the midst of our suffering here in this life and how to look forward to the glory of Heaven.
I also want to say that I have seen this testimony of hers that Jordan Standridge refers to in this article. It is convicting and encouraging. It will not leave you the same. I cannot recommend listening to this testimony more.
