My friends over at Whole Magazine have been running a very successful Facebook group for several months now. My friend Carmen, of Whole Magazine, has been creating beautiful daily Scripture reading and writing plans each month over a topic or book of the Bible. The ladies in the group read the passage for that day, meditate on God’s Word, and choose one or two verses to copy and then journal what they learned from that passage that day. It is a daily practice in exegesis, Scripture memory, and Biblical meditation.
Whole Magazine is growing and new and exciting opportunities have arisen for them. Unfortunately, due to this, Carmen has become too busy to keep up the group. This has disappointed many of the ladies in the group including myself. However, the group is not going to dissolve. Carmen has graciously allowed me to take of the group.
This was not a spur of the moment decision even though it feels like that. Several weeks ago, I was considering how I could minister to women more through Facebook after completing the ninety day reading plan. I had considered a Scripture writing group like Carmen’s but I didn’t want to take away from her group or duplicate the amazing work she already had going on. I had a couple of other ideas but none that really got me excited. So, I just kept the idea in the back of my head.
Then, the other night I saw Carmen’s announcement of no longer being able to run the group. By the next morning, we were in the process of moving the group to be under the umbrella of A Narrow-Minded Woman.
So, be sure to come back here on Saturday, April 1, to download the first A Narrow-Minded Woman Scripture Writing Plan.
If you would like to join the Facebook group for encouragement, discussion, and growing together we would love to have you join us.
Over the next few weeks, I will be doing a few posts explaining exegesis and how to study God’s Word to help with Scripture writing. I am so honored and excited to have this opportunity to grow in God’s Truth with these lovely ladies.
